General Information
The chemical formula is Na2S2O4, which is also known as Nahs. They are not soluble in alcohol when dissolved in water. The solutions are acidic and reductive and the product is stable under normal atmospheric conditions but decomposes in hot water or acid. Thanks to the air in the atmosphere, H2S has a similar odor.
