Production and Reactions
Kokamit is an amide mixture of coconut fatty acids. The cocamides are produced by condensation of alkanolamines (mono-, di- or triethanolamine) and coconut fatty acid.
It is suitable for foam stabilization in shampoo and hand washing products, it is also used in this sector to reduce the irritation of the skin.
It is used in the viscosity balance of yarns and fibers in this sector.
