General Information

Arabian gum (GA) is a soluble fiber obtained from Acacia senegal and Acacia seyal trees grown in sub-Saharan Africa, especially Sudan. It is one of the most important medicinal plant sources used in traditional or alternative medicine. It is a substance that promises as a medicinal plant and has short and long-term health potential that can be developed as future herbal medicines for the treatment of various diseases. Pharmacologically, GA has been confirmed to have various therapeutic effects such as hypoglycemic, antidiabetic, antioxidant, immunomodulator and antiulcer.
