General Information
Sodium hydroxide, the chemical formula of NaOH, is a white moisturizing agent. Straws are called caustic. It dissolves easily and forms a soft slippery and soap sensing solution. Caustic is not flammable. However, it is a very strong disinfectant. Soluble in the structure of the grain structure can be more easily than the straw. However, the sodium structure of the bead structure is stronger than the straw and the resistance is more resistant to breakage. This results in a lower moisture content.
Molecular Structure
Na 1 O -2 H 1
Production and Reactions
They can be obtained by exothermic reaction of sodium and water.
2Na 2H2O -> 2NaOH H2 Heat
It is an important chemical to form salt with acids with its strong basic structure.
NaOH HBr ---> NaBr H2O
NaOH HCl ---> NaCl H2O
It reacts with metals to release hydrogen gas.
Usage areas
Water
Straws sodium hydroxide is used in water treatment systems.
Washing-Soap
The staple, like sodium hydroxide in the bead structure, is also used in detergent and soap making with its strong basic structure.
food
It is used as an additive in refining oil and as an additive in ice cream. It is also used as an additive in soft drinks and dairy products.
Mine
In the mining sector, the straw is used for caustic filter cleaning.
drill
Drilling is also used for the removal of calcium and bacterist. It can also provide ph balance in drilling mud.
Chemistry
It is used in the laboratory to capture acidic gases such as CO2. It is also used in the production of many chemicals.
Oil
Beads like caustic are used in this sector to remove residual acids.
